Windows 10 itself is free, it's the license that you pay for. Not activating it just means you'll have restrictions, which are less harsh than what they used to be under XP.

It's considered pirated when the license is obtained through an unauthorized reseller or when an emulator/activator is used.

If you download it from the MS website then it's fine, if you download it from some dodgy 3rd party website that doesn't have any agreement in place with MS to copy and distribute Windows then it could still be considered "pirated"

What people mean when they say "pirated Windows" usually, is that the Windows has had some kind of System licence agreement or OEM key illegally activated on the machine so Windows appears activated even though they never paid.

Open a run box or CMD and type "slmgr.vbs /dli"

If you don't get any expiration date within the dialog box that opens, then you have a genuine copy of Windows.

Windows Updates are no longer part of the restrictions I spoke of. Only customization is disabled.

i dont understand so it means i am not pirated or i am or not sure?

Like I said, if you'd like to know if you have used a license key or an emulator to activate Windows, use the command slmgr.vbs /dli once you are back from whatever trip you are on.

If you purchased or got a license key, where did you get it? If you bought a factory new computer, chances are it came with an OEM key and is 100% genuine.

Run the check mentioned in post #4 to find out.

i dont have a license key, i just play with the sign of Activate Windows

Then you shouldn't have to worry. Like I said, the only restrictions for not activating Windows 10 is customization and the annoying "Activate Windows" on the lower right corner of your screen. So long as your Windows installation was obtained from the Microsoft site itself, you are within your rights to use Windows, even if not activated.
