Yes.

Sorry I had to go and refresh my DOS skills :tgrin:

Right, in the Windows search bar type in CMD and right click on the command prompt icon, run it as admin.

When the command window pops up type in

cd c:/program files (x86)/Steam

and then

attrib -r /S *.*

This should make all files in your Steam directory R/W.

Try clearing your download cache, https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=3134-TIAL-4638. Alternatively you could try other methods here, https://appuals.com/steam-not-enough-disk-space/.

What game are you trying to update?

This error is usually solved by deleting the "downloading" folder inside the steamapps folder and then restarting Steam.

Make sure Steam isn't running first.

Okay, made sure steam wasn't running. Still wouldn't let me delete it.

OK, the folder is obviously still in use. Restart your computer and try deleting it before your start Steam.

Tried, and no results other than "Access denied"

So at least we've found out why it's saying you have no disk space, looks like you've managed to make this folder read only.

You may need to reinstall Steam to fix it.

Do you know how to boot into safe mode?

First things first, is there a way to check and see if its a read only folder?
