Can't download on E drive
Everytime I try to download any game on Steam to my E drive it gives me an error. It tells me disk write error or something similar. I can't even move games to that drive by way of downloading to C drive and then clicking the move files button. I tried the Steammover program and it used to work, but whenever I'd get an update, I wouldn't be able to update because Steam would give me an error message.

This happened to me a few days ago, the way I fixed it was I made a new folder inside my E drive named 'steam' and I selected that folder to download all my steam applications on
I guess I should say that my drive was bad. I talked with the company that made my PC and they told me to get a program that would check my drive. It said I had like 300,000+ bad blocks on my sdd. They sent me a replacement. Everything is alright now.
I was just searching this up and found a fix. Forget trying to change the file properties, instead create a "SteamLibrary" folder on your E: drive. Then inside that "SteamLibrary" folder create another folder called "steamapps". Then inside that folder create another new folder called "common". I had the exact same problem as you and tried for hours to get it to work with no luck. I then compared my steam file on my E: drive to my D: drive and noticed it had extra subfolders inside, copied those folders manually and then voila it just started installing games as normal. I hope this helps you and any one else who may encounter this problem.
