Is there a text limit to sections of a guide?

I'm trying to add in a new paragraph to one section of my guide, and it won't let me type more than a sentence or so.

No notifications of any kind, i just can't type any more. I even tried typing the paragraph in wordpad, and then copy/pasting, and it only copied a little bit of it.

Steam does have a maximum of 8000 characters when writing guides. Not sure how much you have.

I'll see if there is a way I can check how many characters I have. Thanks. Seems strange though given the amount of guides that have several images, which take up a bit for data space.

By 8000 characters, do you mean characters per section, or for the whole guide?

Thank you, i appreciate that, but this seems pretty stupid as i can't find anything of the sort when I look through my guide settings and whatnot.

What you are saying cannot be correct, I just did a calculation with a word processor, and my guide easily has well over 8000 characters in it. The first section alone has well over 5000.

Weird. I have found guides that says they cannot exceed over 8000. 2 years to year old threads to. Do you think the images have to do with it? Or the paragraphs/ sections it self? Try deleting some images and paragraphs paragraphs and see if you can still type in stuff

I've only got two images in the whole guide, ill do a test with a new section.

I am able to add new text with a new section, i think i can reconfig my guide around this,
