You can't vote on Workshop content in any game that you are VAC or Game banned in. Additionally, if you have an active VAC or Game ban in any game, you will not be able to vote on Workshop content in Free to Play games.

I rarely upvote reviews , i see funny reviews i give funny, but today i wanted to give an upvote to a review that i liked and i couldn't. Is a free to play game, nothing to do with the ban.

It has everything to do with the ban. Yes it counts for reviews as well as the workshop content.

Yeah, but that policy change is recent.

Try to vote any review from a non-F2P game.

Just because I used to be able to write reviews for Steam Family Shared games, doesn't mean it's possible anymore. - For example. Things change.

It was a recent change. Around October when they updated it. Users were abusing the votes with VAC banned accounts and Valve put a stop to it.

Yeah, and if you pay attention to my Workshop quote above, it says "VAC/Game banned and free to play games"

Now apply the same logic for regular reviews.

VAC bans are permanent, non-negotiable, and cannot be removed by Steam Support.
