Can you get banned from reporting?

I think no one should as I feel that due to the amount of different prospective of an issue, no one should be banned for reporting another player. I dunno, maybe things don't work that way. I just reported a crap ton of people which I believe was right as they did follow someone's topics and instigate flame wars. But I was banned due to the numerous reports filled at me by these would I would perceive as trolls.

Emphasis on "I would perceive" I'm not accusing anyone as it may have been a misunderstanding. Life is a big puzzle after all.

Mods read the reported posts.

If they determine that the person reporting it is doing it out of spite - which can become painfully obvious when reading back some threads - they'll issue a ban for such a thing.

Not liking what other people have to say =/= a reportable post.

If your reports appear to be fabricated from falsehood (no matter the degree), then you deserve what you get. It is blatant abuse which, in this case, seems to have been done more from a retaliatory perspective.

Ah crap. I'll admit it was a little spite from me as I was pissed off that they followed my threads and instigated flame wars and then reported me and banned me under the pretense that I was a troll making forums to trigger people.

Not gonna lie a bit of it was. Well I guess this is goodbye, I just hope more awareness is raised on trolls filing false reports.
