Why does my Profile name keep changing back?

My old profile name was Fact Core. Recently I changed it to General A. Hux, this worked for a day or two but now for some reason my profile name keeps getting changed back to Fact Core. Every time I log on, I have to change my profile name AGAIN. Everything on my profile stays the same apart from my name! HELP! IT"S SO ANNOYING!

Rather strange; might just be an issue with Steam itself; the developers maybe will most likely be of assistance.

There are forums on this topic from like 5 years ago but no one seemed to have an answer :P Yeah if I had to guess I'd prolly just suggest talking to customer support about it. That's what I'm going to do at least.

That seems much appropriate; it's strange that the issue has been around for such a long time frame - surely, once given enough attention - greater possibility of a resolution.

mine does that if i've changed it on one device, then log into another. it'll switch back.
generally it's one PC and another, not my phone, tho.

If you change your name in Steam Mobile while your computer is blocked ( Blocked, not switched off ) whenever you log back in PC, your name will change again to the one you had before blocking your PC, not a major issue or something else, just that :P

I have to admit, it's funny how this discussion got ACTUAL USEFUL SUGGESTIONS where as another I made asking why Gmod keeps crashing just got crap. Oh well.
