How do i transfer a downloaded game to a different pc

so I had my friend download a game for me (PUBG) because it would take a lot of time for my internet connection to finish downloading it. now I have the game folder and tried to put it in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common" folder but steams doesn't seem to see it as an installed game. help please :'(

Here's the thing... my friend only copied the "PUBG" folder and gave it to me through flashdrive..

Copy PUBG files on steamapps/common.
Then copy the ACF files on steamapps.

That's all you need to do.
Otherwise you need to verify all of the files or just ask for the backup and restore.

It's only a few bytes.
But make sure you put it on steamapps folder.

No, you can't. Due to the nature of the file it won't work.

OK got it, after I get the files and put them in place, what do I do next??

You just start Steam and it should find the files.
