Change Computer Name

Currently i am downloading a game on one of my computers meanwhile i play another game on my other computer, but from the computer i'm playing on, it says currently logged on to Computer|PC.
What i would like to know if is there a way to change the name of the computer that way so that it doesn't say Computer on steam?

The second method mentioned in that works all the way back to xp.

BTW hang onto win 7 and 8 as long as u can, win 10 sux

Does anyone know how to do this for mac??? When I send family share requests I get the wrong computer name
