Can I still refund?
Just earlier today, I bought Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and was having a blast with it until I realized that I bought the regular edition instead of the GOTY edition (Which are the same price at the moment). I just sent a refund request to Steam however, I noticed that I was just .2 hours after the 2 hour gameplay limit for refunds. Is it still possible for me to get my money back considering that I have 2.2 hours of gamplay?

Try it. The worst that could happen is that they deny it.

I would think they'd refund that for you so that you could purchase what you wanted. Nobody would buy the lesser version on purpose.

Actually just realized that the Steam sales is going to end in less than a week so I can't get my refund in time for the GOTY edition. rip

I was 15 days after I bought a game that I played less than 2 hours on, and Steam approved my refund the next day, and then it was a few days after that the money was put into my Steam Wallet. So try it, don't play the game any further, and you should get your answer fast. Once you see the game is off your library, purchase the game regardless if the refund has been deposited or not.

Do you remember how long it took you to get your money back? I saw online that it takes 7 days for this process to happen.

I bet you if you do it now and request the money to go to the wallet, you will have access to the wallet funds within 2 days if apporoved.

They just refunded my purchase however I won't be able to spend it until the 6th of January which is 2 days after the Steam sales...

Did you do wallet?
And are you going by this from the email?

"We’ve issued the refund to your Steam wallet. The funds will be shown now as pending and will become available to spend within 7 days."

Cause if so, mine was approved on December 25th, and I had the money in my wallet ready to spend, not pending, since the 26th or 27th, I don't remember which day exactly.
Oh wow, I did not know that. And yes, I did do wallet and I received the message through the email.

Thank you for that. I sure was panicking! Haha
