content still encrypted

I got update for cs 1.6 and when i start it it says Content still encrypted.... I contacted steam suport and they couldn't help me. Searched for many solution on internet like clear down cache or change to opt out of beta, reinstal game, reinstal steam but nothing... If someone had same problem please help

Yep, that did it for me. I had this issue with Dawn of War: Chaos Rising under linux. Clearing the download cache seems to have done it for me, it's downloading now.

hello,

sorry to bring up an old topic(edit: just saw it isnt old), but i got this problem since beginning this week as well.

i was just wondering: the link appuals.com and the method of deleting the appmanifest files, i just tried that, and it seems to me that means i have to redownload all my games again. is this correct? does this also mean i have to reconfigure all games their settings and keybindings?

i only got this problem with cs 1.6, and since beginning of this week. how come this all of a sudden happens when i didnt change or do anything?

and does anyone know an easier fix?

when i try to verify integrity of game files, it just hangs on 0%.

Do deleting appmanifest files, i mean copy it to your dekstop and re download game on which u have encrypting problem. Than just copy rest of files back to appmanifest folder
