Steam gift cards unavailable on amazon
I just got over 100 dollars worth of amazon gift cards from Christmas and I really wanted to buy a steam gift card but currently they're unavailable, does anyone know if steam released a statement or something about when they may be available again?

Amazon is not an official distributor of steam gift cards. They're there if a seller wants to sell them. Just see if the games you want are on amazon, if not, you're SOL. Alterantively, sell your cards for $60-75 paypal and then paypal can directly turn into a steam gift card or use those funds on steam.

They use to sell them, yes. They do not anymore. The page listing for them is still up but stating that they are unavailable.

They were never an official distributor, however. the sales are all from people who list them on their own, and when they come up they get bought quick, and you're often paying $20 more.

This means that Valve just stopped selling them on Amazon. They most likely want people to buy them directly from Valve. But yeah, nobody really wants to buy a $20 gift card from a 3rd party seller for 44 bucks.

Most products on Amazon are never distributed by Amazon themselves unless it is their product or they have it in a warehouse. Even then, the shipment isn't directly managed by them.
