Can i use a vpn / proxy to buy my friends game gifts?
Note : To buy , not To use / Redeem game gifts

I've read the steam support article and it says at the bottom that if i use a vpn / proxy to avoid the restriction, i can get my account restricted, but it's only for redeeming games (as said by the article), it doesn't say anything about using so i can internationally (not have my gifts region restricted) give my friends games

And no, I don't live in Russia or something, i live in the SEA region, where game gifts are restricted to said region

So, can i?

You cannot use a VPN to bypass region restrictions. Full stop.

Well that sucks

Why hasn't there been an option to pay extra in exchange for non-restricted gifts, it's a real pain for non US / EU users
