couldn't switch to requested monitor resolution

hello

after win update i can't play all steam games except one (world of guns disassembly, i don't know why). When i open the game, only black window appeares and there is error report:
Switching to resolution 1366x768 failed, trying lower one
Switching to resolution 1360x768 failed, trying lower one
Switching to resolution 1280x768 failed, trying lower one
Switching to resolution 1280x720 failed, trying lower one
Switching to resolution 1280x600 failed, trying lower one
Switching to resolution 1024x768 failed, trying lower one
Switching to resolution 800x600 failed, trying lower one
Switching to resolution 640x480 failed, trying lower one
Switching to resolution 640x400 failed, trying lower one
Switching to resolution 512x384 failed, trying lower one
Switching to resolution 400x300 failed, trying lower one
Switching to resolution 320x240 failed, trying lower one
Switching to resolution 320x200 failed, trying lower one
Switching to resolution 1366x768 failed, trying lower one
All resolution switches have failed
Screen: DX11 could not switch resolution (1366x768 fs=1 hz=0)
(this is error report for Tannenberg)
Do you know, how i could repair it? Please accurate solution description. Thank you.

Was that update the Fall Creator's update? If yes, disable resolution scaling in the nVidia control panel. Then try again.

Because you need to reinstall your driver. Always uninstall graphics drivers before the big seasonal updates and reinstall afterwards.

i removed old driver, instaled new, but the problem is the same.

As in Nvidia Experience not working issue, or the can't find the resolution issue?

experience not working and i don't know what caused this problem. Why WORLD OD GUNS DISASSEMBLY (steam) works but the others not? Why the problem is in steam only? I have other games (out of steam, for example SILENT HUNTER (uplay), BATTLEFIELS (origin)). Theese games don't have any problem.

Maaaan, much respect!! 2nd day searching web bout this trouble, nearly started to totally reinstall Win 10 (thought the last build was the reason). But then find ur answer :pray: Good luck at all!!

I can't set no scaling.

This helped, but thought I'd add a few things:
1. After I changed to no scaling it worked (reverting to the orignal setting also worked).
2. My issue came after updating to the latest driver.

Finally for those not sure where this is at
1. Open Nvidia Control Panel
2. Under Display click on "Adjust Destkop Size And Postion"
3. Look right and there's your scaling.
