Friend can't accept gift
My friend has Oblivion GOTY but wanted the Deluxe Edition for the extra DLC. I tried to gift it to him but he couldn't accept it, probably because he already has the base game. There's no way to purchase the additional content separate from the Deluxe Edition. Is there any possible way I could get this to him or is he doomed to a DLC-less Oblivion?

Tell him to go here https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithGame/?appid=22330

Remove the game and then accept the gift.

He just sent me this: https://imgur.com/a/csz7F
It turns out he thought he had the regular GOTY edition because Steam doesn't really specify which one you have. I have the GOTY Deluxe Edition and it just lists the game as "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" and the DLC as "Game of the Year DLC" so I can see where it might be confusing. All's well that ends well I suppose!
Thanks anyways:steamhappy:
