Finding a game for my 73 yr old retired Dad isn't easy. Suggestion are very welcome
My dad who is retired and in his 70's has a hard time with retired life, which isn't as easy as many people may thinl. Since he was always been an active man, working from his early teens in the 1960's and always working damn hard to support his family. At his age, it's hard for him to switch off and relax but ever since I've been playing computer games from the Amiga, N64 to xbox to PC, he's always wanted to keep playing.

But old age slows down his reflexes and hand/eye coordination became somewhat difficult for him to play fast or complex games.

In the last 2 years he has done over 1,500 hours on Besiege. A simple game where he can take his time and build simple construction that he enjoys building. But 2 years I'm still looking for a game that can equally match that of Besige for him.

He's looked after me through my life and I only want to make sure he's comfortable from now and into the future, so PC games has become a big part of his retired time.

So my questions, can you recommend a game like Besiege or older games like Operation Wolf, Take'em Out that don't require a lot of skill from keyboard to mouse. Worm's was an all time favourite of his, which I'm trying to get him back into.

But any help with suggestion for games on all platforms would be great.

Merry Christmas and thanks

Non-first person Survival tend to have a lower proficiency requirement

While unlikely to warrant as much playtime, you can try puzzle games

Point and Click adventure's might also work

Turn based games shouldn't be to demanding for him

Thanks to you both for the help. Shell Shock Live could be a winner, my dad likes his turned based games (Worms and old school Tanx on the Amiga).

Have a great Christmas and thanks again.

The XCOM games sound your dad's cup o' tea. XCOM 2 is the latest game:

I have a Steam gift of the first game if you want to trade for it. Check my inventory.

May be a bit late but cities skylines may be a good game for him (if he likes city games) its single player , and no real challenge for a 70 year old to play. Also there are a ton of mods that can add buildings from when whe was a kid etc so maybe he will like it :)

Sounds like he would like Garry's Mod (not multiplayer as that would probably make him hate the internet forever)

Garry's Mod might be a little to technical, to be fair but a good shout noun the less. We tried World of Tanks but again it was to much for him to handle. He's trying though and he thanks you all for your imput, as do I. We'll keep searching :)
