All games become corrupted right after downlaod
Hello guys. Recently made clean install of Windows on my pc, installed steam and started downloading games. Every game that I downloaded was corrupted more or less and I had to redownload up to 80% of each game after cache checking:(

So, curruption is detected rigth after downloading on some games, even with no installation.

Already tried steam download cache deleting, disk check with default windows utility (no errors), now downloading game to another disk to check.

Hope someone can help to deal with it.:hacking:

If you are using an old Windows, check your network card driver. I had to install the NVidia-Package in Win XP for my network.

If you are using Win 10, no idea.

Roll back the fall update on windows 10. It's been the culprit for plenty of other problems. See if that helps.

Well, it very likely IS the source of the problem, so ... I'd look into the specific games, their exact issues, and head online to google to see if there are forums mentioning those specifics. But chances are very likely that microsoft utterly screwed up (again) (this isn't the first time their creator's update has broken things) and you'd be far better off *not* updating.

just tried to install a game on another disk and looks like there's no problems with it now. so for now there are two possible reasons of my trouble: mine ssd is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up (but there were no error when i checked it:D) or SOMEHOW windows loader partition messes with me cuz its partition is on that ssd:(
for now trying to figure out how to relocate efi loader partition to another ssd:hacking:

Check with a harddrive tool, harddrives going bad (Spefically SSD) can cause issues like this, might have a ton of bad sectors or a dying harddrive,

Sometimes you can repair the harddrive with special software tools, but if its just dying no tool will rescue it from that stage.

You should ALWAYS keep windows updated to the latest version even if it's just for the security patches.

Older version of Windows 10 do not receive the latest security patches. You might as well be using Windows with no firewall.

<-- uses windows 7 ultimate 64b with no firewall. Because I don't do stupid crap online that puts my rig in danger.

Today tried to check my SATA connections just in case... For test reinstalled CSGO in near 10gigs I gues. For now there are no corruptions in files. If so now gonna try something larger to check it out.
