wolfenstein 2009 version?
Just wondering why "Wolfenstein" released in 2009 by id software is not in the franchise pack?
Its a solid game.

That wasn't released by Id it was an Activision one so the rights to sell it aren't held by Id or Bethesda to include it.

Says copyright id software right on the box it came in. However activisions name is also on the box as well. Figures. They'll prob want an arm and an a**hole .

It became abandon, and was removed since 2014, I believe they never got it back on sale, nor bother to deal with activation to getting it back on sale.

Activision is known for dropping things, such as them and platinum games, and Hasbro.

Yeah even though Activision published it and one of their in house teams developed it Id still have to be named on the copyright because Wolfenstein itself belongs to them its common with licensed games to see that.

The decision to drop publishing of 2009 was Zenimax's decision, not Activision. Zenimax acquired the rights to the franchise when they purchased id Software. Development was handed off to Machinegames with a new direction of the storyline that didn't follow 2009's of zombies and mutli-dimensional technology. Since it doesn't fit the new narrative, publishing of 2009 was dropped.

The people, and I have such a question: the game was removed from sale, right? Licensed disc is not so easy to get. I doubt that it will be easy for me, a resident from Russia. In short, I’ll get to the point: how can I play it if I don’t have a copy in Steam or a physical copy in my hands, but I don’t want to pirate. It turns out that everything I will never play this game again? Either pirate, so what?
There's always away to play the game *wink* *wink*, if we can no longer buy it, or can't get a physical copy. There's not much we can do in these cases, as we can only ask the IP holders to try to bring the game back for sale, but it's a long shot, as depends if they're willing.
