Bluetooth won't detect Xbox One Controller
Hi, Could anybody help me?
I have an Xbox One HALO 5 Guardian edition controller, and i've been trying to make it work wirelessly with bluetooth on my PC.
When i try to search the controller, the bluetooth won't even show the controller on the list of available devices.

Is that an XBO or XBOS gamepad? The ones without S don't support BT.

Bluetooth is not compatible with the Xbox one controller on PC. You will either have to use a wired connection (micro USB) or get a signal USB to be able to use it wirelessly, they run for around 20$ on Amazon. There is unfortunately no work around for this either.

Note the BT only works if you purposely bought an Xbox one controller that includes BT. Most dont.

The ones tha come with the xbox arent BT enabled. The xbox S comes with the BT enabled controllers

Otherwise you're either

1) Not running Windows 10
2) not running the anniversary update for Windows 10 which is required for the controller to work

And it does come with bluetooth enabled as it is the newest model.

My windows 10 is the latest version, and my bluetooth is 4.0

I am pretty sure that this one doesn't support BT.

That's an XBox One controller, which does not support Bluetooth. You need an XBox One S controller for that.
Which has been mentioned multiple times.

Halo 5 came out about 14 months before the Xbox One S.

From the shape it match the left one which is bluetooth enabled

Correct me if i'm wrong

No look at the image again. Can you see where the Xbox button is, the plastic surrounding that also supports the triggers and bumper buttons. On the S pads, the plastic around the Xbox button is part of the main pad housing.

Just buy a wireless receiver for $15. I have one for my Xbox One pads, works perfectly.

Will the wireless receiver also work on the Bluetooth version of the Xbox one controller? I have the bluetooth version and I can't get the controller to connect.
