Assassin's creed region restriction

I got a gift of Assassin's Creed Syndicate which is restricted to play in China. I will go back to USA soon and I myself purchse an Assassin's Creed Bundle which contains Assassin's Creed Syndicate and this bundle is purchased in USA store. However, when I launch the game with VPN to USA, the game cannot be launched because there is still the region restriction. So, how can I fix this problem ?

For those confused like me: religion = region

@OP: Using proxies, VPN's or other tools to get around the region restrictions is not allowed and can get your account terminated. Wait till you're back in the US. If you still have a problem then, contact support.

If the USA version doesn't work in China, that means the Chinese government has censored it in some way. Usually, region locked gifts become RoW 90 days after activation. But i'm 99% sure this won't happen with a censored game.

Once you return to the US, the game will start functioning as normal.

Using a VPN is a fast track to having your account banned.

If that's true, that's a nice compromise. But! Do you have any hard source on that? Because if I saw someone dumping Russian copies on G2A making that claim, I'd assume it's a lie just to get them moving.

And 90 days is a common breakoff point for being able to chargeback or reverse transfers. Coincidence?

If its any worth to you, i can confirm the 90 days. I bought region locked games multiple times when visiting friends in Russia. Activated them and later when i returned to germany they would no longer install/start because of the region lock. But exactly 90 days after activation i could install/play them here in germany.
Since them i must have bought about 30 games that way while visiting my friends.
All of them became regionfree after 90 days on my account.
