Steam sale is broken

Well as many can already guess the steam store page is dreadfully slow and failing multiple times. My experience so far has been 50/50 the games on sale at the moment are not bad BUT for example Just Cause 3 and the others discounts have dissapeared. How do you feel about the overwhelming set backs? What games do you want to see?

Really? It's been 30 minutes since the sale started, of course it's died :P.

We, as the vultures we are, are essentially DDoS'ing their server.

a little warning if your buying games, DONT BUY AS SOON AS THE SALE STARTS!! especially if your uising vouchers/wallet or some kind of pre paid method, it nearly always fails in the first few hours and then you have to wait weeks for steam support to sort it out. Wait a few hours, the servers are overloaded when sales go live.

Ikr, they don't want to invest money into having quality software... so sad. Maybe in the future it won't be so trashy

I really don't think people have the slightest idea how this works...

Look at it like a regular store. If they throw on a sale and 1,000 people try and fit through the door at once, it's not going to work. Making the door wider is still not going to work, because more people will still be trying.

Simply getting a new server for the sole purpose of sales is not going to do anything and wind up costing them money for nothing... It would still die on the start of a sale because tens of thousands of people are trying to access it at once.
