Game Servers ping lying to me? How can I fix this?

So I recently got a new computer and got steam. Games with server lists such as Don't Starve Together,TF2,CS:GO and Garrys mod show unreasonably high ping (150-3000). When I actually join the server everything is fine and there is no lag for me. I ask people if my ping is high and they say i'm good and it's low.


With my other computer(Laptop) all the ping is normal(40-200) and I'm doing fine there aswell.


What I want to ask is,what is the problem and how can I fix it. Because now i can't tell a good server from bad.(In lag)
