Moving non-steam version of gta v to a different HDD?
Hey guys
so my textures in GTA V are loading slow and sometimes cause the game to flat out stall for a minute and i know this isnt the fault of my pc (minus the pos drive) because my pc is:
i5 2400
gtx 780
8gb ddr3
i presume this is a hdd not loading fast enough issue.
The game is installed on a WD green (i know i know i hate them aswell but it was all i had at the time) and i plan on moving it onto my WD Black with the rest of my games however since my copy of gta v isnt the steam version i dont know how i would go about moving the game without it breaking because i know how to do it with steam just not the non-steam version.
any help would be fantastic :)

You can just move the whole thing. I've done so for mine and it worked fine.

I got a SC version too. In order to copy it to another drive, back up/copy the whole game to the new drive. Then uninstall all traces of the original.

Now download the setup tool from the rockstar website then select the new drive and install it there. Hit pause, then copy the old backed up files it to the NEW location you selected on the installer, replace all if there are warnings. Then click resume.
