DOOM Issues

I figured I should start this off with what is happening to me - I am trying to launch doom on my new pc and every time i make an attempt to start it, i am told via the doom console that there has been 'a fatal error' and the game fails to launch. I am attempting to run this on my brand new pc that i built. I am still fixing some minor glitches and bugs with the new system but i do not beleive that my system is to blame here as other applications are running normally

Processor - Brand new Amd FX processor black edition
Motherboard - Brand new Asus 970 pro gaming/aura
RAM - 8 gigs of DDR3 (two sticks of four gigs each)
Power supply - 600w gold rated inland
I am currently running two old graphics card via sli because my off the shelf brand new gpu wont work most of the time

I also have the game installed on my ssd, which also contains my windows ten pro 64 bit

I do not know their name - i cannot find their original box so i will search my pc for their name
i was trying to get my new one to work (msi 1050ti)
the two running together get a decent image, but not as good as the two times i was able to get the 1050 ti running

Why did you quote that long post again._. Edit and remove the quote.

That GPU doesn't seem to be very powerful unless I'm missing something.
Did you assume that it would work with doom or did you figure it was just worth a shot? Did you read the system requirements?

You might not want to leave that game running if you want to do a refund.

So, your PC does not meet the crucial requirements. Neither the CPU meets the requirements, nor does the videocard.

The videocard stands out as it's very, very, very old and even back then was considered disappointing and weak.

The GTX670 is just about FOURTEEN TIMES faster.
Not to mention that in the best case a 8600 GTS only has 512MB VRAM, while a 670 has 2GB, four times as much.
The final nail in the coffin is that the 8600 GTS is a DirectX10 capable videocard while the game requires a videocard that supports at least DirectX12/Vulcan.

Ok, thank you very much. Ideally, id be running this on a 1050 ti (which i was told would run this game fine), but it is not working, and to my knowledge meets the requirements. Second, the assistant at microcenter (where i got my components) told me that this processor was fine for a starter gaming pc. I wonder if this game is currently just too much for my pc to handle? I do not mean to put your words to fault, but instead to perhaps take a second trip and return parts for better ones

Wait, do you have another GPU installed?
Maybe you have plugged your monitor to the wrong port. You should plug it into the GPU if there is another one in there.

That userbenchmark site above can be used to do a benchmark of your PC and see what it is capable of.
