Paying for the games not working with paypal

I want to choose paypal to pay for the games I buy.I don't have a credit card instead I have a client cards and a bank account linked to my paypal account.I was trying for like 5 hours trying to buy games or even add funds in steam wallet.Each time I pay with paypal it comes to a pop-up asking for credit card info.why does paypal ask for credit card number!!!,when I have a linked bank account.i was only successful once by getting a $10 wallet fund once.Anyone have the solution.

I have tried that.I have used both internet explorer and chrome.Also the steam app.Still doesn't work

Usually there is a tab above credit card to use paypal account. On the paypal page that comes up.

Yea after it takes you to a pop-up page.Its then asks you to pick from savings or checking account but instead asks for credit card number.expire date and security code.This is where the problem is.

It is working a little now after I tried buying the same games 10 times in a row.Sometimes I get it and sometimes I don't.Mabye it was because everyone was on steam(steam winter sale)....k I hope this helped,keep trying over and over again,lol.Now im going to go cry about my wallet with a hole in it.

You need to have a Ctedit card linked to PayPal to use it

Actually I just had my client card linked to paypal and it worked after lots of trying over and over again.

That would exclude paypal from acceptance in whole countries where credit cards are seen as a form of debt.

I am also having issues when trying to use paypal to purchase items from the Steam Store.

I will click checkout and be redirected to a paypal page that has a steam banner at the top, I log in like I normally would and I end up getting redirected to my account overview, never able to actually getting to the point of authenticating the transaction through paypal.

The solution:use a visa card or load your paypal account with your client card then use the paypal account to make the purchase but it takes longer to do this then a visa card.Also try getting steam credit in your steam wallet,that worked for me a few times but most of the time it didn't.

As far as i know the problem is still there for me. Everytime it switches me to another window i'd be able to login to my paypal but then just an error message from paypal saying they cannot complete the transaction. I tried with both google chorme or via steam app, neither one of those works
