Star Wars Bundle - Playing games with older OS on windows 10 - compatibility.
Hey guys, I saw the new star wars franchise bundle and added it to my cart instantaneously and was about to buy it when I stopped to question something. I'm aware that in the system requirements most of the games are windows 7 at the highest and quite often down in the XP, vista range. My overall question is, If I buy these games will I be unable to play them on my windows 10 dekstop? And furthermore, if I am unable to play them can anybody suggest a workaround because this deal is too sweet to miss for a star wars fan like me!
~Thanks! :mollusk::steamsalty:

You should be able to play any game made for Windows 7 or 8 easily.

For games made at the time of Windows XP and earlier there may be some compatibility issues or they may run fine. So you should look it up on a per-game basis to make sure.

Hey thanks for the quick reply dude. I guess any games older I'll have to research on my own and find out. Thanks for your help!

If anyone else sees this forum and has some tips and tricks to play older game's I'd really appreciate it.

PCGamingWiki can have help on playing older games.

Good Old Games also has exclusive patches for older games to make them work on modern machines, that certain games on Steam do not have.

I have only ran into two games that don't work. Some "Homeland "protector" jetfighter game, and Neverwinter Nights Diamond & NWN 2. If you find another, use a virtual machine environment. Worst case scenario, partition a drive, and install WinXp SP2 on it, lol... Nothing beats the real deal for compatibility :P
