I can not activate Adobe Flash Player (Steam Webbrowser) anymore..
Hello Community,

after the last Steam Update i can not use the Adobe Flash Player in Steam Webbrowser anymore.

Here comes the problem ... some sites require flash player (doesn't work anymore) others use html5 instead but they crash every 2-3 minutes now.

Any serious solution? Thanks Guys!!!

Flash is NEEDED. Millions of websited have content that DEPEND on flash. Newgrounds and similar would die out completely. Because no one wants to rebuild a website from scratch just because a used plug-in got abandoned and they need to switch to something else.
Why are you telling me? Tell Google, Adobe, Microsoft, the companies that are phasing out Flash.
I'm helping spread out the word. Duh. Honestly even if 10000 people sent a complaint they wouldn't care.

Guys ... we need to find a solution to enable it until the developers have enough time to change theire running systems to html5.

Not to discuss like this.

Don't bother. Flash is going to die.

Man I really like newgrounds I don't want the website to die because of flash dying out.

They just need to update it. But until that happens WE NEED A SOLUTION TO REACTIVATE FLASH!

Newgrounds doesn't need to die, just to convert to HTML5. You're not the one who decides if Newgrounds goes down. The people who run that site do. It's up to them to decide to go down with Flash or to convert.

Dont bother??? So how the FFFFFF do I watch foxsoccer2go, nbaleagepass or use my home security cameras in steam browser through the link??

You answer is basically "dont", yeh great, I have to give all that up and go back to plugging my laptop into the tv again. Fine, but Steam need to put a warning on their steam link advertising saying "this thing doesnt work with a bunch of websites because we dont care about you"

Really? Than how comes that I just watched a video on a web site that requires Flash over my Steam link? If you want actual help, you should stop behaving like a spoiled brat and ask a civilized question, like "How do I view Flash content via Steam link?" Not mixing up topics (Steam link and Steam browser) would help big time too.

Windows 8 and above come with built in html5 and flash, you don't need to bother installing it manually. I'm still using my windows 7 here and I have no intent on changing to buggy Windows 8 and above just because of HTML5

Wrong. HTML5 is a browser thing, every browser can implement that, including CEF (that Steam is based on). As for Flash, IE11 on Windows 8 and Edge on Windows 10 bring their own Flash, but that doesn't mean that Flash can be used by all browsers.

Flash can be used by all browsers.
The Flash technology: Yes. A particular Flash plugin: No.
The Flash that is included in Chrome can be used by Chrome only.
The Flash that is included in IE11/Edge can be used by IE11/Edge only.
NPAPI Flash (separate install) can be used by Firefox.
PPAPI Flash (separate install) can be used by Steam (aparently not anymore).

PPAPI is for Opera and chromium based browsers.

Then make it "PPAPI Flash (separate install) can be used by Steam (aparently not anymore) and Opera". Either way, a particular Flash plugin can't be used by all browsers. If you want to use Flash in a browser that doesn't bring it, you have to install it even if you have a browser that brings it's own Flash.
