Controller Never Rumbles (Logitech F710)
Hello,

I have been using my controller in several games I play, but it never rumbles. It is on Xput, I click the rumble button for the longer vibration (I read you should do that in order to set the vibration on) but it NEVER rumbles in game. I bought it since it was an official Steam suggestion.

PS. I downloaded its own drivers, I don't have xbox 360 controller drivers.

Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Go to Downloads below there, select OS edition and download latest Logitech Gaming Software; then check in that for Controller config.

I know the Rumble won't work if the batteries are too low.

Thank you, but I already downladed my drivers from the same site. Now I just did it again and installed, but nothing changed. I don't think the batteries are low, though they were in the controller when I bought it.

In my controller config (in Control Panel) I cannot check or set anything about rumble. It only checks the buttons and axis if they are functional.

Is there a list for rumble suitable games? Cause what I have played so far are Batman Arkham Asylum, Shovel Knight, Star Wars KOTOR 2, Portal 1&2, Half Life 2 and The Walking Dead 1&2.

Could you solve your problem. I have same issue, no vibration options are shown for Logitech f710 in steam link, connecting gamepad to pc vibration option is shown.

Seems to be a Windows issue, it looks like nobody has rumble with games under Windows with that pad (which is my case, I own 2 F710), but some people say it works under Linux, I'll give it a try as my PC has a dual boot Windows 10/Manjaro XFCE, I just have to find a Linux Steam game with rumble support...

FYI, American Truck Simulator rumbles the gamepad on Linux. I have a Logitech F710, and it rumbles nicely... as long as you're using the game's gamepad config. I switched over to using the Steam config, and it doesn't rumble anymore. I've turned rumble "ON" in the Steam controller settings, but to use the Steam controller, you have to remove the controller from the game or you get two actions per button.

I'm trying a few things to see if I can get the rumble back, and I'll report back here with what works.

A couple of the things I've tried so far that haven't worked is to keep the Steam controller configured, tell ATS that I'm using my controller in there, then just unassign all of the gamepad actions. The ATS settings for steering sensitivity overrode the Steam settings, so I had to change that, but still no vibration.

And to be specific,

Steam "Controller Application Options" are:
Steam Input Per-Game Settings : ON
Rumble Setting : ON

American Truck Simulator settings
Controls: Keyboard + Logitech Gamepad F710
Controller subtype: gamepad, joystick
(Nothing else is currently set).

I'll reply later with what finally works, or if I can't get it going. But as I said, if the Steam Big Picture controller settings are disabled, the game itself rumbles the gamepad.

Try manually changing the driver to an older one. That has worked for ones like various kinds of xbox controllers

Since I'm running Linux, I'm not sure if that applies. Especially when it rumbles when I disable the Steam controller and enable it exclusively in ATS.

Since I said I'd reply, here's as far as I got, but it wasn't looking promising. Then I bought a steering wheel, and it's so much better. Anyway, here are the setting combinations I tried. Force Feedback & Rumble don't work in American Truck Simulator (ATS), but they're amazing in F1 2017.

Did anyone found a solution for old Logitech gamepads and vibrations?

Same issue with Logitech Rumblepad 2. Great undestructible gamepad is using over 15 years.
Sadly, there is no offcial driver for Win10, which sucks. Few games only natively support Direct Input based gamepads, which can be solved by using WoJ XIunput Emulator.

But, i never found a way how force vibrations to work in games under Windows 10. Yes, there is something like vibrations emulation in XIunput Emulator, but its mysteriously inactive for my gamepad.

Lol, i have 3 of these on two receiver (yes you can bind 2 on one controller but it will appears as only one, so no use)
Only one of them vibrate.
I don't know why.
But at least it prove that vibration could work in windows 10

Edit : i've found one solution : with the tool from logitech F710ConnectUtility_2.15.264.exe
i re bind the pad and now it will vibrate like the other :-D
Tested with https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad (chrome)
