Moving frequently between two countries - how often can I change my country?
Hi! Due to my job I spend about 3 months a year in one country, and the rest in another one (both in Europe and using € as currency).
As you probably know, the settings in the Steam store won't let you make purchases from one country to the other, unless you change your store country. Now what it doesn't tell you is, how many times a year you're allowed to change your country. Does anyone know how often you're allowed to switch country? Thanks

Why do you want to switch your country at all? Why not simply sticking to one Steam store country all the time? Your claim is wrong, you totally can buy games from abroad.

Because of the credit card address, you get messages like "you're making a purchase with a credit card that has country XYZ as billing country, but you are apparently in country ZYX"...

There is no limit unless steam specifically warns you for this. And also, there's no reason to change country storefront unless the prices are different and games are regionlocked. But you haven't mentioned this, so there shouldn't be any problem at all.

This is only a warning to you to prevent creditcard theft. If this is still you making the purchases, you can ignore the messages.

Thanks! No, as I said the currency is even the same... but still I get this message whenever I try to make payments in one country with a credit card that is billed the other one...

What is your Steam store location set to?
