Don't you have extra mouse buttons (Mouse4/Mouse5) to navigate back and forth?
yes i have the buttons on mouse, but they're little uncomfortably placed, so i don't really use them
no i don't participate in beta releases
It seems that several of us have got this issue, where we cannot navigate back in pages with backspace on Steam. I'm not sure if this is a temporary issue or a permanent change. I suspect it's temporary as not all of us have got this issue.
Fortunately this is not true. Google Chrome assumed that backspace was undesired and removed the feature which caused a huge uproar of Chrome users to want the backspace key back. Some changed browser entirely, some demanded an extention to be added to enable backspace.
There are quite a few extensions available at Google web store to download the backspace navigation plugin, which many are using.
Very few have ever argued that 'alt+left arrow' is a convenient way of navigating back as it requires two keys to be pressed let alone they're too far apart. The reason why backspace was removed in Chrome was due to people accidentally going back a page when meaning to erase something in a text field. This issue is not common in Steam though.
