Many use Easy-AC; such as:
7 Days to Die
Dead by Daylight
Hurt World
iRacing
Rust
Squad
The Culling
Warface
Watch Dogs 2
Yes i did.
It had to pop up and install when you installed a game that uses it.
So will it be safe to delete it out of my syswow64 folder in the windows folder. I don't like having game files in there only system files.
When i first ran the game no first time installs happened in steam or uplay.
Reviews from what bad posted says it will trigger a vac ban.
It's a required DRM. The reason it runs in the background (like PunBuster) it installs like a Windows Service; seriously leave it be.
And none of this has anything to do with Ubisoft; over a dozen games use EAC.
EAC is not actively doing anything, it sits there, ready for a game that requires it.
Install BF3 or BF4 for example, you'll have PunkBuster as a Windows Service too; same thing.
Yea i have a punkbustera and a punkbuster b service running from when i bought my kids a need for speed game.
Thank you i will leave it in the syswow64 folder.
Easy Anticheat CAN be disabled with no negative effects.
All you have to do is add the -eac_launcher command line parameter to your WatchDogs2.exe shortcut and when you run it, EAC is disabled, you get a window letting you know that it is disabled along with online play.
Conversations with Ubisoft support, which we have transcripts of, state that they do not condone cheating of any kind, but they elude that there will be no repercussions (such as being banned from the game) for doing so in single player offline mode only. Of course, that doesn't mean that it won't happen, that's just what we were told. As always, with any cheat in a game that has both a single and multiplayer component, especially those that allow seamless transition, you must use it at your own risk.
If you plan on cheating in SP not in MP, thats the only reason to disable the anti cheat.
i recommend only DISABLING the anticheat
NOT Deleting it
But yes don't delete it; the game will simply want to reinstall it should it not be found.
If you uninstall Game(s) that use such a service from the system, then sure, you can uninstall/remove such service.
but i ended up just leavin punkbuster alone cuz some times it didnt open automatically when bf4 was opened so id end up gettin kicked for it in game which got annoying.
its just one process so i leave it alone.
