Is it possible to convert disk games to Steam games?
I recently bought FlatOut 2, a racing game on a disk. It didn't work as a result of StarForce protection drivers which were heavily outdated and were not able to be updated. I found that FlatOut 2 is on Steam, so is it possible for me to turn it into a Steam game somehow?

StarForce protection drivers are a driver published by the company StarForce used by multiple publishers to protect their games. Upon researching, I found StarForce is not in the Steam version of FlatOut 2, so I will be able to play it without any problems.

Flatout 2 can not be activated on Steam. It doesn't have a CD Key to begin with.
You could wait three weeks and buy it cheap in the holiday sale though.

Alright, thanks. I'll try refunding the PC version and buying the Steam version, just wanted to check if there was an easier way first.
