How to delete a couple of unsubscribed mods?
Hi!
Possibly already solved, but cant find anything.

i.e. for ArmA and Ark I often subscribe and install different mods to try them.
But when I unsubscribe them they will not get deleted from harddrive.

So tons of useless mods filling harddrive-space.

Cause there are normally no txt for a description of the mod in the folder on the harddrive u even cant delete em manually. Also alot of mods dont show their mod-Id in the Workshop description, WHY?

So, how to DELETE an or many unsubscribed mod automatically from hdd ?

That depends on the game. Some games simply don't delete mods automatically and Steam doesn't do it either as every game has to be treated differently in that regard.
So there's no built-in automatic way. But you could set one up using programming.

U subscribe mods in Steams workshop and steam will download these mods automatically and provide it to your game.
When u unsubscribe this mod in Steams workshop why isn't Steam in charge to delete it from my hdd and clean the place it former used?

Again, Steam does it for some games and for some games, not.

So a standard US-american behaviour?
Claim, use, waste, pollute, leave and forget about it?

Look dude, I am not interesting in your ranting. I could offer you help set up a system yourself. That I can do. As for paying attention to your rants, I am not interested.

If there only would be the ID shown in Workshop for every single mod so it would be no big problem to delete em manually from hdd.
But there are only cryptic files with none or bad descriptions/hints which mod is in this folder...

Again, that depends on the game. For Killing Floor 2 for example, finding workshop maps is child's play. For Left 4 Dead 2, unsubscribed mods get removed automatically.
I'm trying to help you, it would be easier to if you would stop ranting and start discussing constructively.

An attempt: Go ask in the game forum how to identify (and delete) mods.
