Nvidia control panel settings
I have a dedicated nvidia card and an integrated intel card.
In the Nvidia control panel settings, should I set "steam.exe" adaptive or max performance (by default it's adaptive)?
Should I set "steam.exe" integrated or dedicated (by default it's dedicated)?
Should I set "nvcplui.exe" adaptive or max performance (by default it's adaptive)?

Steam should be adaptive. The client doesn't need the dedicated videocard.
Same with the nvcplui.exe, the UI of the nVidia Control Panel doesn't need to be rendered on your dedicated videocard.

nvcplui.exe adaptive too? And what about "nvidia geforce experience.exe", adaptive-integrated too? I noticed that I cannot switch adaptive/max performance if the process runs on the integrated (I must switch before with the dedicated), so I'm not sure if adaptive-integrated really works.

Why are you guys doing global settings? Shouldn't it be per game? That way, you won't have problems running next-gen games on your rig and you can abuse the settings (i.e., max them all out) with very old games.

The Nvidia control panel is very convenient in that it lets you tweak settings per game. I made a guide about it. It's detailed here:
