Steam Games won't launch!! [SOLVE]
Some games crash when I try to play them (The Evil Within, Danganronpa V3 Demo, Strider, Naruto Ninja Storm 4) but other games I can launch them(Doom 2016 Vulkan, KoF 13, Sonic Generations). I also can run games on other plataforms (Overwatch, Quake Champions, etc).
I already try:
Verify Integrity of Game Files
Clear Download Cache
Reinstall Steam
Reinstall games
Check for Windows Updates
Repair Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 x64 and x86

If this can help, I have the same issues as this guy:
Steam Games Crash

OLD FIX: Erase GameOverlayRenderer64.dll
No thanks to Steam support, thanks OSO.

FIX: Upgrade to Rivatuner Statistics Server 7.0.0 (that is included with MSI Afterburner 4.4.0).
Thanks BAM.

Same issue here. It appears that Steam broke "something" as of 2 days ago.

Elite Dangerous 64 can no longer be started through steam (works fine through windows).
The Initial will not start through steam (tries to start outside steam, then disappears, steamapi bug?).
Onechanbara:Z2 Chaos now crashes on startup (probably related).
Project Cars "flashes" (switches screen mode) and does not start.

Still working are:
Saints Row 3
Borderlands/BL2/Presequel
Blades Of Time
Portal/Portal2

I submitted a support request. Hopefully they can figure out what they broke and get things working again quickly.

Delete or move the GameOverlayRenderer64.dll file in your steam folder and you should be able to launch your games. It worked for me. Google it there have been many with this same problem.
Steam will re download the file when you open steam again and you will have to delete it or move it again. Hope this helps.

I will try to do that, but it works. Really, really I would give you a kiss. I have been trying to fix this since this morning.

No Problem. I was going crazy too. Now if steam could fix that issue so we wont have to delete or move the file on every startup of steam.

Lets hope, they fix this quick. For a sec I really thought that a screw up something when I was installing updates for VS2017.

Wow that did it. (I renamed it to *.off) Thanks!

Apparently just disabling steam overlay in the options doesn't prevent that garbage from loading (come on Valve, make that option worth unchecking).

Date modified: 9/27/2017 (2 days ago) Yup, they broke it!
I'm leaving my support ticket open. Someone at Steam needs to know so they can "fix" it.
All this nonsense about game files or antivirus... the cake is a lie!

A possible "permanent" solution may be to replace the file with a renamed empty text file and remove permissions from it so steam can't overwrite it. (I have not done this yet at this point, it's possible doing this will cause Steam's own updates to fail/crash, depends on their error handling.)

All of my games appear to be working again. EliteDangerous, The Initial, Onechanbara, ProjectCars

You are right, we need to tell them about this.
If someone know a moderator, notified about this problem. So we could have a fix and avoid other users have this problem.:2017stickytube:
