I cant use steam anymore. With wifi it says "Fatal error Steam needs to be online to update. Please confirm your network connection and try again."

Steam was working fine with my new router and wifi for months until today i cant use steam at all. i have a decent WiFi connection but steam keeps giving me the error connection failed so i tried reinstalling but then it says Fatal error Steam needs to be online to update. Please confirm your network connection and try again. please help.

BRO....same here..dont know what to du..tried up all the primary solutions and suggestions available on you tube..reinstalled steam..reset my router configuration and ultimately reinstalled pc os...but still same prob exists,,
