Multiple users on a pc
Hi all.
So I have a new gaming my pc and have downloaded a bunch of games.
I’ve set up windows user profiles for my two boys and myself (3 windows users in total).
I want each of us to be able to play the games with fresh characters for each whilst logged into our separate user accounts on the pc.
How do I go about doing this.

3 Windows users (so that if some games save under C:\Users, the saves aren't overwritten).

Have Steam installed somewhere like,
C:\Games\Steam\

Your Steam account plus your two boys' accounts. Steam Family Share your games to your boys should they want to play something from your library:

Basically, all you have to do is tick your device as authorized under [Steam > Settings > Family] and then tick their Steam usernames from the tickbox list below as authorized to access your library on said authorized device.

Then set up Steam Family View on their accounts to exclude whatever you don't want them to have access to. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=5149-EOPC-9918

Thanks. I’ve seen the family share. But do I need to install the game for each user or will it read and Play from the base location. ( I save to the D:/ to keep the c:/ free of space for the wife). So for each of us there should be a d:\(user name)\games\steam\ folder??

Keep Steam somewhere universal like C:\Games\Steam or the default location which is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\

It should read the game files the same on all Windows users without need to install on each individual Windows user.

Brilliant thank you. I’ll have a play around with it tonight 😊
