$90? Is that real money?
Hi, I played around with the market 2 weeks ago. I advertised some items and now I can see I have $90 (!!). I don't understand how these things could have been worth NZ$90.

Is this real money to buy games in Steam with? Or is it only for trading other little game cards only?

Steam wallet money can be used to purchase anything on Steam.

Should be real money for buying games if it's in your steam wallet.

Holy hell. Ok. Thanks.

Why is an apple red skin for an assault rifle worth NZ$75 to someone? I don't get it.

Some items are worth $2,000 USD in the Steam market.

skin price depends on rarity, supply, and demand. simple market economics. it's worth that to someone because that's what supply and demand says it's worth, and they're willing to pay that to you.

take https://i.imgur.com/eabwsOc.png for example... i have market hold so i had to guess price 2 weeks in future, (looks like it rose to $263) this item is very rare and people are willing to pay that much for it.

I can't help but imagine the scene - there was a bloke mucking around in photoshop - and he thought it was a good idea to drop an apple red paint bucket onto the stock skin of a CSGO assault rifle - and that somehow this ended up to be worth about 5 or 6 hours minimum wage money.

I get it though - different strokes, supply, demand, all that, but still - it's a ruse - emperors new clothes - Tom Sawyer stuff. (imo)

Can't complin though - $90 - Yee hah!

it should be unless its in a game lol

Don't people well karambits for $2500? They don't even do anything. And yet, people keep those knives instead of selling them for games on their wishlist. Makes no sense. Most expensive skin I have is 3 bucks and I don't intend on going over.
