How to turn off publisher streams(?)
Hi,

I was about to check out the Stardock publisher weekend but at their store page there was a stream that started automatically. So now I'm here trying to find out how to turn off streams from starting automatically instead of checking out their offers and maybe buying their games.
Any help on how to turn off streams from autoplaying is much appreciated, thank you.

You can not. You can only wait until it goes off air. I've been asking for it to only play if you click on the stream for a while now.

Thanks! No Stardock purchases this time then.

That is the only irk I have with the publisher sale landing pages.

You can remove it with Adblock Plus. Worked for me in Chrome.
Just rightclick on the stream window and choose "remove element".

You can also use this link:
http://store.steampowered.com/search/?term=stardock+entertainment

Which shows all the sales without the stream.

No, only in the browser. I honestly never use the client to shop because its really inconvenient to open multiple tabs and such.

That presupposes that you browse Steam in Chrome (for example) and not in the Steam client, right? Might almost be worth the hassle.

Too bad about Offworld trading company, had my mood not been ruined I might have bought it.

Still the same in 2019, almost 2020 and my only weapon seems to be boycotting anything that adds a stream to my storepage of random people playing the game I'm auto-no-longer-interested-in. Anyone know of any setting to circumvent this crossing of my personal boundaries, happy to hear it. Points off Valve for this btw, what's next, Coca Cola ads?

Click on your small profile name at the top right of the Steam client, between the green envelope and your Steam Wallet balance, select Store preferences from the drop down menu, scroll down to the bottom of that page and click on the box next to "Hide all live broadcasts on the store product pages."

Sometimes Steam glitches and that setting doesn't work, but I just checked a store page and a publisher sale that currently have live broadcasts, and it is working for me.
