Amount of MBPS for a good ping around 10?
Hola!

First post btw, don't know actually which section.
I just wanted to know how much MBPS do I need to get a ping around 5-20?
I believe that I can do better with such low ping, I'm usually lagspiking in competitive, I usually have to wait till my siblings and parents are gone so I can play.

My friends usually have a ping around 5-8, meanwhile I have a ping of 70-120. I rarely get 60 or below. Could you guys perhaps give me a MBPS to PING converter? DANKE!

Sincerely, Azept.

Okay, so.. the reason why I'm lagging is because:
1. How much I pay for the internet host thing
2. Where I live.
Is that the reason?
And what are routers used for then?

You dont read suggestions, you ignore all hints.
THATS the reason why you are lagging.
1. No. Price does not matter.
2. Location can but does not have to matter. Depends on the infrastructure.

How about you start reading and understanding the information provided to you?
I give these hints a last time:
1) Connect computer to router with cable
2) Enable net graph in csgo, check for packet loss and other things

Dont ask the same questions again. Instead. tell us what net graph tells you. In average, and especially when people rubberband.
So I should get a 20m cable and connect to pc

Is changing DNS a good option?

Yes I agree.
Butt your answer that you may found would be like

Bandwith/((1000+ping)/1000)

4mb connection

4mbps/(1000+120ping)/1000)
=
4/((1000+120)/1000)
or
3.57142857 mbits per second

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
