30 fps lock

Now, i know you would say "go and find a tutorial to remove it", but this is diffirent. I have a GTX 1060 , 8 Ram , G-Sync 100 hz monitor and a 2D game Has locked at FPS. Yes, i tried to go to 3D settings and all that stuff, nothing helps. And this laptop is new! But like other games like Gear Up i runs at 100 fps. And once i got this laptop, i overclocked the display to 100 hz. Then i wanted more and tried 144 hz. But it crashed and about a half an hour there was a black screen.
When it turned on the game that i play the most (Geometry dash) was locked at 30 FPS with V-Sync completely turned off. Then it fixed and was at 60 FPS, but the next day it was 30 Again. And to now the game is or at 30 FPS, and very rarely When i turn it on, 60 FPS. And i want 100 FPS because the game is so light and even a GT 760 can hadle it. Someone please help. I want all (most) My game to be at least 80 FPS. Note: My games are light and i dont play games that demand a lot from my GTX 1060

On my laptop the problem got solved only if I plugged in the charger though. However, I am not sure if this applies to your laptop. You could give it a shot though

That sounds like power management, turn it to high performance if you can, and yes plug in power supply for gaming.
