Googling for "oculus spacewar" gets you some results that some hacks use that thing with steam sometimes..
Maybe fiddling with unreal engine?
And the last time I used my Oculus was on the 24th, otherwise it was just the Oculus Software on autostart but thanks for the suggestion I will look into that a little more.
Edit: I have changed my pw for steam and have run multiple malware checks already, will set up an email on another to automatically forward Security alerts from my other mail adresses to. Then change all those passwords too.
Try doing something you have done recently and see if the the blue frame for you avatar in Steam turns green (steam thinks you are playing a game)
You could try to search your event log for "spacewar" or "steam://run/480"
Also my event log (I suspect you mean the windows event viewer) is empty of spacewar or steam://run/480.
I should not have changed my pw immediately because now I cannot see whether there was another authorized system that wasn't supposed to be there :(
Sounds like a weird thing to hack someone for, also you earned an achievement for the thing..
Feels like some software test thing that went wrong.
The oculus store runs in the background right? Does it auto update the apps also? Maybe one new update did it somehow.
The Email has been pwned two times but as I changed my pw for those sites back then and also have different pws for every account I own this seems highly unlikely.
Also what would it accomplish ? Instead of letting a pirated game or actual spacewar run they could have stolen my account or done even worse things which so far did not happen.Iit just does not make any sense...
If I open VirtualDesktop through its exe which I recently placed as a Shortcut on my desktop after steam had trouble launching it it shows as Spacewar !
I completely forgot about that and it does not show in the ExecutedProgramsList. And when I tried it earlier I launched through steam.
Sorry for the trouble but if anyone has a similar issue I guess it might help, will edit the start post.
