Battlegrounds (and other games) directx12

Struggling to play most games on steam as my windows ten has updated to directx12 and no way of going back to 11.3. How do i make my games work windows is meant to be backwards compatible and therefore so should my firectx surely

Windows 10 was not updated to DirectX12 as it always had DirectX12.
And yes, it's backwards compatible.

DirectX 12 is a graphics API, A game is either built using it or not. Windows has nothing to do with it except DX 12 is currently exclusive to Windows 10.

PUBG is the only game you have that uses DX12.

What GPU do you have?

AMD Radeon 8470

That's a Radeon HD 8470D, which is an integrated videochip.
Which entirely lacks the necessary performance to run demanding games like PUBG.
It does support DirectX11 though, so try installing the latest drivers from AMD.
