How do I turn off auto updates on steam permanently?

u can't because it need to update 4 patch or fix bug a games
but for reason like DOTA2 have bigger size like usual such like 300Mb - 1.5GB update

Actually you (we) did give permission when agreeing to the SSA. Not that most folks bother to read what they are agreeing to.

Steam was built for auto updates. You can set updates to download when a game is launched or play in offline mode.

A Bethesda gamer. I kind of understand but you really should play those games offline until they are fully patched in a few years.

Bethesda doesn't even patch that often. Maybe it's one of his workshop mods he subscribed to.

Mostly it's just frustration over Bethesda updates, but I don't like that in general. I like to be the one deciding when to update things. I'm in offline mode
