Steam Link shipping soon
I ordered the steam link while it was on sale for $4.99 and it's been 5 business days and it still hasn't shipped. What gives? Does it normally take this long for it to ship? This is my first time buying hardware through steam.

Did you even *read* the information you got when you ordered it?

i ordered one too during that sale. It *clearly* said due to a high volume of orders right now delivery could take *3 weeks*. And that's assuming you actually live in the USA.

In any case, mine hasn't shipped either. But i wasn't worried about it since i read all the words before clicking buy.

I got no such information when I ordered mine. I haven't even received another email from them regarding the order since I bought it.

I got no such information when I ordered mine. I haven't even received another email from them regarding the order since I bought it.
It wasn't in an email it was right front and center on the buy page. Literally right above where you pick "add to cart".

it is there now (as you see in my follow up post) and it was there during the sale too.

Yeah now I see it on their page, they must have updated it at a later time because it didn't say it before. And like I said this is my first time ordering hardware off of steam so I don't know how this process works. I would have assumed they would send an update on the order or atleast change the status of it from "shipping soon" to "estimated delivery time: etc."

i actually do suspect we will get another email when the item ships, just it hasn't shipped yet, so no updated email.

That warning was definitely there during the sale. i can't vouch for if it was there on the first day. So if you ordered on the 22nd (so first day), i dunno, maybe you are right and the message wasn't there.

i ordered it on the 24th and the message was definitely there then. So if you ordered on the 24th or after the message was there, and you missed it somehow.

The sale started on the 22nd. On the 23rd, they added the 3 week delivery notice to the controller and Link store pages. It usually ships in about a week after ordering on normal sales or days. This 3 weeks deal now includes the holiday times and the demand for the product.

Yeah that must be it then. I ordered mine the first day of the sale, so there was no warning. Bummer. Hopefully it ships before I go on vacation.

I don't mean to be that guy, it usually takes 2+ weeks to ship out (not delivered) during big sales.

I have waited a week for the item I should have just picked it up at GameStop instead of waiting and paying steam for the steam link hardware

No order mine on the first day too. There Was No ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ message .none dont say there was .no no no message. stop. Never had this problem with amazon.

If the order was completely processed and ready to be sent to warehouse to be notified for shipping BEFORE that was posted on the page, you have a right to complain.

If it was NOT completely processed and the order was ready to be sent to warehouse to be notified for shipping, then they are in the right and you can only wait like the rest.

I ordered on the 22nd as well. There wasn't a warning for it, and I did NOT receive an email about it from steam either. Had I not checked the forums, I would not have had any idea.

I bought it on the 25th. I'm 99% sure there was no warning. I wouldn't seen it if it's right there like everyone said. Wasn't aware of issues until I checked the forums. Had I known I would've gotten it from Amazon and got free shipping and had it here in 2 days. Feel kind of ripped off paying 25% of my order in shipping and handling only to not have it for a month. Seems like a waste of shipping and handling. I wasn't aware of the backlog so now I need to change my address because I won't be here in a week and a half. Ridiculous
