Steam client crashes when connecting USB gamepad
Steam client crashes as soon as i plugged in my old USB gamepad.

If the gamepad is connected before i try to launch Steam, Steam client crashes immediately after i try to launch it.

I am running windows 10 home 64bits on a PC

It is a relatively old gamepad, which i never used before. Saitek p480 rumble pad vibration.

I have seen similar issues in the forum but the solutions i was able to replicate didnot work : full reinstall of Steam, unplugging then replugging all usb devices, updating gamepad driver with its latest version (mentioning windows xp and vista, not windows 10 however).

There are a bunch of "crash_steamexe_xxx.dmp" in steam/dumps

Take a look at this!

Deleting (or moving) the DLL-s allowed me to use the controller with steam without any problems! (To quote the information: "ffdriver32.dll and ffdriver64.dll from /System32 and /SysWOW64")
