You'll have to wait the 15 days without the phone.
15 days is a long time to wait for a trade and you should understand that people don't want to wait that long.

Really not recommended.
If there is a way to bypass it, imagine someone hijacks your account, bypasses the hold and get away with your items.
In short: There is no way to bypass the hold.
There is no bypass.
Sending a code through mail works just as perfectly fine. Yet for some reason people pretend that doesn't work. If someone is so stupid to give out their passwords to mail too then the phone authenticator will be just as useless.
Correction, even if it was a sent sms I would have no problem. But I don't see why you should buy a phone for X money just to sell stuff on Steam. Why selling and buying cards is very nice, buying a phone for more money that a normal person will ever make here seems stupid.

It won't harm you anyways and won't load your pc like those emulators you've been using.
Edit: You still will need a phone number. If you don't, just don't trade or get a phone number.
edit: how do you bold on steam
As for the linked steam desktop authenticator, it actually feels less safe than using a phone emulator since those do not have any connection to steam by default, you just download the authenticator from the store.
This "custom" authenticator on the other hand starts with:
Warning, there are fake versions of this.
We do not accept any responsibility for what this does.
Way to scare me :) Valve could really talk about these alternatives at the authenticator info in the options. Maybe provide a link to a trusted alternative. I mean if they are so bent on not allowing sms or email authentication for this.
As in no offense but anyone can provide a link and add a random software that actually steals your account info if you type it in. Doesn't take long to write one, that's for sure.
Sorry for being negative. Bad day so far.
This is exactly why you go into Steam Guard options and UNCHECK
