How do I get the steam Desktop App?

I want to be able to confirm steam guard but i dont want the app on my phone so how do i get it on my pc?

Not having it on PC is the whole point. If your system is compomised in that case you might as well have nothing.

I've used the "Steam desktop authenticator". It's not an officially supported thing. The main thing is that you will need to have a mobile device to do the initial setup. The only reason I stopped using it was to be able to jump between my Linux and Windows Steam installs easier. It worked great.

Get an android emulator for your pc, then get it on there. Problem solved.
