failed to launch game. (invalid platform)
I need help with this. I searched for answers but none helped.

It became like this suddenly for unknown reason.
The game I was playing was working fine minutes ago, when I re-opened the game this thing popped out.
Any help?

(invalid platform) usually means you are trying to play a MAC version of a game on Windows or the other way around.
But since you wrote you already played the game i honestly have no clue why it would pop up.
Try verifying the game files or if that does not work maybe reinstalling the game.

no i did not. I just quitted the game to download something in the workshop then this happened

Nothing to do with regional issues.
Not being supported by your platform was already established back in 2017 when this thread was made.
