I think a screenshot was banned mistakenly.
I had a screenshot over two years old get banned today because of "nudity" I assume but it wasn't, it was only a statue. The exact mod was the "Aurore Statue" mod by Ellie. I was wondering why this was banned. For one it doesn't seem to make sense and it's out of the blue, it's over 2 years old, secondly, it's allowed on the workshop, and there are screenshots of it. So why was mine banned? Am I being targeted by an admin for no reason?

I just want to know where I can go in steam support to fight the ban. The link it gives when it says "contact steam support" gives you no indication as to where to find help...

how long a screenshot has existed does not matter. It was reported and found to be in violation of the rules.

Steam is reactive when it comes to banning. It has to be reported for steam to look at it.

Nudity is not allowed in screenshots. There is a difference between the content for a game on the workshop and the community rules. Games have age gates for their content, the community has not.
Everything on the community must inher to the community guidelines, in this case, be suitable for users of age 13+ , the lowest age you may create a Steam account.
Steam has been cracking down on any screenshots or avatars containing even slight nudity in the last few weeks. You can try to appeal but its pretty pointless, i seen screenshots with less nudity then yours banned and they stayed banned.
Its just the way it is now on Steam. As for the why, no clue. Steam is not known for communicating why some policies suddenly get enforced that nobody cared about for years.

Yes but you'd think within the time span over two years it would of been reported sooner, besides. The other one still exist. I don't see how it's "nudity" tho. It's just a nude renaissance statue. They have them in CS: GO for ♥♥♥♥ sake, they have a nude child...

I already got a content ban from this kind of stuff... a total of like 8 things were banned after the original artwork ban and now this... so pretty sure this just extended my ban until may of next year...

Usually you just get a 1 day upload day ban per removed screenshot.
But i dont know if there is some sort of escalation in the punishment if a lot of stuff gets removed.
Again, something that is not very clear on the part of Steam.

Nope. It tells me when I try to upload anything to artwork it's not going to end until Nov, 24. If anything else is banned after that, it will extend the ban. The ban start about a week ago. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridciculous. I straight up just got bullied by these admins out of nowhere, and that's really not a stretch, they deleted a group simply because I joined it...

I report them as I see them, even if it's a 2 year old picture, it was still against the steam subscriber agreement, discussion guidelines & content rules. Delete your pictures that break the rules, and don't post them on steam anymore. this isn't a place for nudity, even in 18+ titles.

I too received a ban but my email stated:

Due to this ban, you will be unable to upload new user generated content on Steam until Dec 31, 1969 @ 4:00pm.
*Please note that if any further content that you've uploaded is banned before this ban expires, the ban will be extended.

This was my first incident. When can I expect the ban to be lifted?

32 bit integer overflow. most likely permanent ban

I don't understand. Why? No warning. I wasn't aware it was in violation. Why would I receive a permanent ban but the OP got 1 week?

In the future just make the screenshots with nudity in it friends only that way the public can't see it and no one rats you out.

Still against content rules. public or private does not change the weight of the punishment.

Ignorance is no reason to be exempt from the rules.
Filthydelphia Nov 14, 2017 @ 3:16pm
But I don't understand why I would be permanently banned from one incident when that does not seem to be the usual case. Is there a way to appeal?
